Twenty years before MTV, television was already a vehicle for new artists to reach out to the wide audience. There were weekly life shows in the studio with screaming teenage audience. Some of the world’s legends launched their career from here.
Here is a very short and sweet love song, As Tears Go By, sung by Marianne Faithfull and Mick Jagger on separate occasions- Together they were one of the Britain’s most famous couples of the 1960’s. They looked so sedate with no traces of wildness back then.
