Behind the Pictures

I bought my first issue of Martha Stewart Living (American edition) back in the late nineties. It was a luxury since the the magazine was not available anywhere here in Thailand. I tried to collect as many as I could right up to the present day. I have to say that although my life went through various degrees of changes, the DIY aspect of this magazine never failed to inspire me. This is why I am so happy to be included in this month's feature of Martha Stewart Living Thailand issue.

This young lady was superb. She was so well behaved and natural. Her other friends were also very cute.

My last post was more than 6 months ago. Here is a post that should get me started on the right track.

Winter morning

We are supposed to be having a cool season here. Every morning from my city apartment window I get this view. Kind of foggy, hazy but warm. It looks like this all day but it gets really hot by midday. The afternoon light is soft and beautiful.
นี่มันหน้าหนาว ตอนเช้านอกหน้าต่างคอนโดของเราจะมีวิวแบบนี้ ดูฝ้าๆเลือนๆแต่อากาศอุ่น หมอกนี้อยู่กับเราตลอดวันแต่พอเที่ยงหน่อยอากาศก็กลับมาร้อนเหมือนเดิม พอตกเย็นแสงแดดดูเบาลงดูอบอุ่นสวยงาม

I always wanted to make this pineapple upside down cake and this recipe is really easy. The part I like about making the cake is when I finally get to turn the whole thing upsaide down. Here's the result.

Mini Hand-Held Carry Bag

This small woven bag came from Malaysia. Its original function is to hold tobacco. I am fascinated by the soft color, the complex skills and intricate design. Nothing beats good craftsmanship. Basket making is something I wish I could do.
